At the inaugural Alness Academy Highland Games The Ross and Cromarty Pipes & Drums School led the Chieftan's Procession along the High Street in Alness and onto the Academy Playing Fields to commence the first Alness Academy Highland Games.
The Games were officially opened by Per-Eric Magnusson, Chief Executive of Lycksele, the Swedish town in Lapland that is partnered with Alness.
Throughout the evening the Band played to an audience of over 5,000 who attended the Games.
