It stands on the remains of a Pictish Fort and was once inhabited by the religious hermit, St. Donan. Once one of Scotland’s largest castles, Urquhart’s remains include a tower house that commands splendid views of the famous loch and Great Glen. | ROGIE FALLSThe falls are located on the Blackwater River just outside the village of Contin.
